Rehabilitation also necessarily involves the infrastructure requirements inherent in obtaining conditions suitable for the specific functional and comfort requirements of the spaces, this being one of the most delicate aspects of the operation, with the project seeking to promote situations of the greatest possible discretion in the visibility of the elements inherent to such facilities.However, this was only possible through the construction of a narrow building attached to the western gable of the Palace, which therefore assumed a prominent place in the design of the project. Replacing an old complementary body that was architecturally irrelevant, this building constitutes a new volume with a markedly lighter exterior expression where all the water areas are concentrated, as well as the risers of the various infrastructures, from which the networks migrate to the Palace via paths housed in its floors, thus avoiding interference with walls and ceilings.
